How Rewire handles your data, in plain language.

Last updated October 13, 2026

The short version

Who we are

Rewire is made by Kyle White in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. If you have a question about your data, email helprewire@gmail.com.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, your referral code, the code of whoever invited you (if anyone), which form you used and when you signed up.

We use your email only to tell you about Rewire's launch and your early-member offer. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed.

What the app collects

Screen Time stays on your iPhone

Rewire uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps during a Lock In. Apple keeps which apps you pick and how you use them on your device. Rewire can't see that information and never uploads it to our servers.

Who can see what

How we use your data

We use it to run your account, show your progress, let you compete with friends, send the reminders you turn on, handle Pro subscriptions, deal with reports and fix bugs. We don't sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored with our service providers, which may keep it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States:

Each provider may only use your data to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your data, including your proof photos, within 30 days. We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your choices

If you're unhappy with how we handled your data, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Age

Rewire is for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If we make a big change, we'll also tell you in the app or by email.
